What is Luma for Claude?

A connector that lets Claude make images and videos with your own Luma account. You ask in the chat, and Claude picks the tool and makes it.

In Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT with a custom MCP connection in Developer mode, and local Codex through a remote MCP server. Choose your app at the top of this page for setup. Other MCP clients need remote HTTP and OAuth support.

How do I connect ChatGPT or Codex?

Choose the ChatGPT or Codex tab at the top of this page. In ChatGPT, enable Developer mode, add the Luma server URL in Plugins and sign in. In local Codex, copy the setup request into a chat and let Codex configure it. Each client needs its own Luma sign-in; connecting Claude does not connect ChatGPT.

Connecting costs nothing. Claude makes what you ask for right away, with credits from your Luma account at the same prices as on luma.ai. Your balance is on your Luma account page, and Claude tells you when it runs short. Claude itself may ask your permission before it uses a Luma tool, unless you have told it to always allow Luma's tools.

Do I need a Luma account?

Yes. The first time you connect, Claude opens the Luma sign-in and you approve access once.

Does it work on a Claude Team, Enterprise or free plan?

Yes. On Team and Enterprise, an owner of your Claude organization adds Luma first, under Organization settings, then Connectors; then you open Customize, then Connectors, and press Connect on Luma. A free Claude plan holds one custom connector, so if you already use another one, remove it first.

What are the creator skills?

Eight step-by-step workflows, from one picture to a short film. In Claude, describe what you want or press Try in Claude on a workflow, and Claude picks the one that fits. In Claude Code with the Luma plugin, type its command, such as /luma:short-film.

Which content rules apply?

The same as on luma.ai. Every request goes through Luma's content checks, and everything Claude makes is saved to your Luma library.

Open your Luma account and remove Claude under Connected apps. You can connect again at any time.
